Special Called Conference will be held during morning worship services, June 10th regarding motion from deacons for moving to one Sunday morning worship service during the summer months.
  Baby Bottle Boomerang began on Mothers’ Day and concludes on Fathers’ Day.  Please take a bottle to collect money for ministry at the Wilkes Crisis Pregnancy Center.
 Please make plans to attend a church-wide Hotdog Cookout next Sunday evening, May 27th as we fellowship together and honor James Tedder for his faithfulness as he served as our church Interim Music Director.  A basket will be available during morning worship and during the picnic for cards and gifts of appreciation and encouragement for James.

Active Spirits will be going to Ashe County on Tuesday, May 22nd to see the Ashe County frescoes and visit West Jefferson.  Meet at BHC at 9:00 am for a wonderful day in the mountains. First stop will be in Glendale Springs to see the Last Supper fresco.  On to West Jefferson for shopping, lunch and fun.  Walking maps of West Jefferson will be available.  We will get back together at 2:00 pm to go to St. Mary’s in Beaver Creek to see the John the Baptist fresco. We will leave Ashe around 3:00 pm to return to BHC.  Sign up sheets are on the board.  Please sign up today (May 27).
MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY:  HIS Light Ministry provides a soup kitchen at the old Quincy’s Steakhouse.  There is a meal each evening Monday through Saturday beginning at 5 pm.  A lunch is held at 10:30 am following the worship service at the same location.  If you would consider helping to fix an entree, a dessert, vegetables or provide rolls and Little Debbie cakes, please contact Betty McGrady or Cathy Lockhart.  Monetary donations will be accepted as well. We would also like for people to volunteer to help serve.
Our church is collecting soup, cereal or any food that you would like to donate for distribution at the
Byrd Ridge Food Pantry.  This is an ongoing support project.  Please place donations in the designated collection containers in the areas near the Fellowship Hall and/or Family Life Center.  If you have any questions,etc. please contact Wanda. neighbors and families.
