We Want To Publish Your Favorite Recipes!

Baptist Home Church Mission Teams are collecting favorite recipes from people of our church to be published in a beautiful spiral bound cookbook.  Each recipe that is collected will show the name of the contributor.  Please send us 1 to 2 of your favorite recipes as soon as possible.  All proceeds from the cookbooks will go to the Mission Fund Account.  You can now type your recipe online.

Recipe Collection Forms have been placed on the counter of the kitchen across from the Fellowship Hall.  There is another folder where you can return completed recipes. PLEASE PRINT!  If you would prefer to send a recipe by email, please send to csl927@aol.com. Be sure to give your recipe a name.  Use only 1 recipe per form. If recipe is too long, staple 2 forms together.

These personalized cookbooks make great gifts since they will have your own recipes published in it.  Your friends and family will especially enjoy it. It will be a treasured keepsake for years to come. We can accept only 300 recipes, so the sooner you return your recipe(s), the more likely you are to get your recipe published.

The cut-off date for submitting recipes will be Friday, August 5th. The published cookbooks will be back in time to purchase as Christmas gifts.  If you would like to reserve a copy (or copies), email Cathy Lockhart at the above email address or call 670-3472.

Why do mission trips depend on donations?

Volunteer missionaries count on financial support for the following needs:

• airplane tickets
  

• immunizations such as yellow fever and meningitis shots (which can be very expensive)
  

• malaria medication
  

• airplane baggage fees
  

• room and board
  

• evangelism materials
  

• discipleship materials
  

• transportation
  

• money for translators
  

• stickers for children
  

• Bibles to leave with missionaries
  

• meals in airports
  

• insurance for each volunteer
  

Without your support, the money must come from each volunteer, usually several thousand dollars.
