WEEKDAY PRESCHOOL UPDATE
The Weekday School is officially full! We have 48 children in the program now and every class
is to the maximum number and we continue to have children added to the waiting list. I attended
a meeting for the Board of Directors for the NC Baptist Education Association this fall. There
were many directors there who were facing financial hardships due to the decrease in their
enrollments due mainly to the economy. I sat there during the meeting and praised God for
way that Baptist Home's preschool has been blessed with an overabundance of families wanting
to attend. This year we have had six children to benefit from scholarship money that you have
contributed. I cannot thank you enough for your generosity and the blessing that Jeff and I
receive when we are able to tell a family that they are receiving scholarship money to help their
child attend the preschool. Many of you have contributed money just as donations to the
preschool. I can't send a thank you to all who have contributed since much of the donations
come through the church offering; but I want to thank you all sincerely for giving to the preschool
and to tell you how it helps support the program and helps to keep it growing and to become
better each day.
I am excited to tell you about a new activity that the four year olds are participating in. They
have started a prayer gram program. The children are saying a special prayer over the individual
and then they are sending a post card letting the person know that they were prayed for by the
children. I know this will be a special blessing to those who receive the prayer grams. If you
would like the four year olds to have a special prayer for someone and to send a prayer gram,
please email me your request at kristiecothren@yahoo.com. There is also a box on the
preschool office door with prayer gran request forms. Simply fill one out and leave it in the
box. Thank you church for all of your support and love. We are searching to find every
avenue that the preschool can be a blessing to others' lives, to touch and to reach them in the
love of Christ.
In the love of Christ,
Kristie Cothren
Weekday Preschool Director
